Updates, Updates and more Updates!

I made 2 more paintings over the past few days for my band Corona Della Volpe, you can check the paintings out in the Flatwork section under Paint. I also just barely finished a logo for a website entitled NightlifeArizona.com, you can find that in the Flatwork section under Design. NightlifeArizona.com is being created by the same guy that I designed the Happy-Hour.com logo for.

I also put together a page for myself on myspace.com which has some songs I made. You can check that out here, or listen to all the songs by clicking here. These songs were created during a month time span in which I did nothing but art related activities such as, painting, drawing, animating and making music on my guitar. Come to think of it, I have been doing a lot more of that lately and a lot less going out into the world, but with one small difference, I have been creating this stuff in collaboration with other people instead of just by myself, which is basically what I did during the month of October. Speaking of music, I just picked up a cd by former Smashing Pumpkins drummer, Jimmy Chamberlin, entitled "The Jimmy Chamberlin Complex" with the cd being titeled "Life Begins Again". I have really been enjoying this cd, its pretty fresh, packed with pretty laid back melodies, the kind of stuff I love to hear. If you get a chance, give it a listen. I'm eagerly awaiting John Frucsiante's final album "Curtains" which comes out on Tuesday and will end the 6 months straight of 6 album releases. Thats about it for now.

rare finger shadow

Tonight, its dark....... This morning, as the sun is about to illuminate every flat surface, every object and surface that has been bathed in blackness, will soon be illuminated by the gaseous orb we call the sun. While the other half of the world is again covered in shadow, the shadow of the earth itself. By this time, I will be completely in dreamland, sleeping off the few alchoholic beverages that I consumed a few hours earlier. These days sleep doesnt come as easily as before, my body has shifted its functional hours to a more awkward time, or a more non traditional block of time. With those words thrown down on screen, I can now blabber on about my day and the cool things I have in store for tomorrow. I made a cool acoustic song today. We used a walk in closet downstairs for natural acoustic sound. Ray set up a condensor mic as well as a normal mic to capture not only the straight up sound of my acoustic guitar, but the sounds of the reverbaration that is createted off of the walls in the room as I strum the srings on my guitar. Today, I saw people, I communicated in odd gestures, made vibrations in different tones and rhythms, and listened to ideas and visions that were communicated by others. Pretty much the same as every other day once I break it down like that. I came up with a great idea the other night while scanning documents at work. My idea has to do with a monkey.....a monkey who has the absolute worst luck in the world. I am going to create a comic strip which contains his life experiences, so be on the look out. Untill then, enjoy the sun, enjoy the vibrations and sights that life has to offer........

I cant believe I went to the most amazing speak easy Jazz club ever this weekend....I'll leave it at that.

More wacom stuff

I have been messing around with my wacom, trying to create some images that have more of a traditional paint style to them. Here are some examples

I am loving this thing. I sit down on my computer and start doodling with it and next thing I know 2 or 3 hours have passed by and.......... its waaaaay past my bed time.

I Love My New Wacom

I bought a Wacom Tablet this week and I am so happy that I did. This is a tool that I dont know how I went without untill now. Here are some examples of what I have been doing with it. Keep in mind while viewing these that it was all done on the computer, no pens or pencils just the wacom tablet. Other than that, I have been toying around with some texturing in Max. I am trying to model my contact lens case and make an accurate texture for it. Its too early of a stage to show right now, but soon hopefully I will have some renders up. I am much too tired to update or write more than this for now......peace out.

Well, the New Year has come and gone. 2005 has begun and there is no looking back now. Just like every new year that has come and gone before this one, I feel no different and the world is still the same. Still no flying cars, no automated robot maids and no cure for aids or cancer. I made no new years resolution, if I did it would probably be to update my website as often as possible. Well, I hope everyone's new year went well. Here is a sample of mine, drunk and trying my best to keep solid comentary going, enjoy.
